We are currently recruiting a Transport Manager.

This position reports to the Operations Manager and has a direct responsibility for the day to day management and supervision of our out-based driver workforce in the Midlands and outlying areas.

The role will be based in the Company’s Depot in Kingsbury, however there will be a requirement to travel to other Depots in the outlying areas – with this being expected 2-3 days per week. Other bases that this role will be responsible for include, but not limited to: Newcastle, Immingham, Hemel Hemsted, Avonmouth and Cardiff.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Experience working at Supervisory or Management level with significant experience of man-management
  • Expert understanding of relevant driver legislation: Working Time Directive, Tachograph Legislation
  • Relevant Logistics / Supply Chain qualification or equivalent experience – Transport Managers CPC would be an advantage
  • Experience working within a unionized environment

We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers in our Ellesmere Port Depot in the Northwest to work on a permanent PM shift Monday – Friday.

Key Requirements include:

  • Clean HGV (Class 1) Licence
  • ADR / Hazchem Certificate
  • Drivers CPC
  • Artic experience essential, tanker experience would be an advantage
  • PDP would also be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience HGV driving
  • Safety focussed
  • Customer Relations focus
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self motivated and willing to work flexible hours
