We are currently recruiting a Transport Manager.
This position reports to the Operations Manager and has a direct responsibility for the day to day management and supervision of our out-based driver workforce in the Midlands and outlying areas.
The role will be based in the Company’s Depot in Kingsbury, however there will be a requirement to travel to other Depots in the outlying areas – with this being expected 2-3 days per week. Other bases that this role will be responsible for include, but not limited to: Newcastle, Immingham, Hemel Hemsted, Avonmouth and Cardiff.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Experience working at Supervisory or Management level with significant experience of man-management
- Expert understanding of relevant driver legislation: Working Time Directive, Tachograph Legislation
- Relevant Logistics / Supply Chain qualification or equivalent experience – Transport Managers CPC would be an advantage
- Experience working within a unionized environment

We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers in our Ellesmere Port Depot in the Northwest to work on a permanent PM shift Monday – Friday.
Key Requirements include:
- Clean HGV (Class 1) Licence
- ADR / Hazchem Certificate
- Drivers CPC
- Artic experience essential, tanker experience would be an advantage
- PDP would also be an advantage
- Minimum 2 years’ experience HGV driving
- Safety focussed
- Customer Relations focus
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Self motivated and willing to work flexible hours
